For many years I've been doing SEO (search engine optimization) for my own websites and fairly quickly I was able to understand the complex algorithms that Google places upon the internet. Although I do not agree with Google in their idea of punishing local businesses I understand the need to cut down ridiculous spam. If they didn't we'd all be buying enlargement pills and being scammed by every single get rich scheme out there. So they have a place. But their place is not set in stone, you need to be able to get your business seen!
And how is that accomplished? By basically tricking Google in a way that they rank your high quality content (local) website and get seen! It's only fair. People come to them, they sell advertising. If people didn't use their system they would eventual go to Bing or Yahoo. So with that, they NEED to serve the best of the best for whatever anyone is looking for.
One thing that I think explains Google and SEO is that it's okay to do SEO, in fact Google is begging for a certain type of ranked website to fill their pages. If you think it's unmoral to be tricking Google think again. Tricking Google is really only helping them understand you have a website that is worth exposure. Their "natural" ranking methods that they plead people to use is not always the best bet. Sure if you have a fantastic product and service and people are going on about it on message forums and social accounts, you may see your site eventually rise from the ashes of the sand pit (which is past the 2nd search result page).
Who wants to wait months or years for that to happen naturally? It's not business feasible to wait around for years or months to get some internet business and it's rarely EVER financially sound to pay for a ranking position. Only super big business can afford to that, and many times they'll buy local listing advertising to push out the little guy even further. Don't let Google push you around, there is a way to get yourself out there and make a tremendous splash on your bottom line. Be sure to contact us.
